 Termidor® Termite Control:
Termidor® – Nothing beats it!
Over the years there have been umpteen different types of termite treatments and
the team at Termite Doctors have seen them all.
After much careful research they discovered a product called “Termidor®”, a
termiticide that offers real, long-term control.
It has no smell and a very low toxicity to humans and pets so that it presents
virtually no environmental risk.
Termidor® is different from any other termite treatment because it does not act
as a repellent.
While repellent products are toxic to termites, few are actually killed because
they are ‘repelled’ by the treatment. However, termites are determined creatures
which will return again and again to seek out gaps in the barrier treatment to
eventually gain access to their food source – your home!
Termites are not repelled by Termidor® and cannot detect the product. Therefore termites exposed are rapidly killed in its immediate vicinity. But because it bonds to soil particles in decreasing concentration as it spreads outwards in the soil termites are exposed to sub-lethal doses and this allows transfer to other individuals within the colony so that within a short period ALL individuals within that colony are killed.
Results have demonstrated success in killing ALL termites up to 40 metres from the initial point of application, with 100% control achieved within 9 weeks, and an average control period of 4.3 weeks! Control has been confirmed for up to 6 years following treatment, in both covered and exposed areas.
Termidor® is applied at some of the lowest doses of any of the termiticides available today and the active ingredient has been registered in household pet products in Australia since 1996. It is also fully approved for use in domestic situations by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging.
Termidor® is water based, has no odour, will not leach through soil, and is not damaging to soil micro-organisms, earthworms, or plants.
